Keeping Busy

I got yours and mackenzies letters this past week! yay! haha and you tell uncle mark and aunt dani that I love them! hahah even though the things they said are not true! hahah that was still very nice of them.

So quick update! being a DL is keeping me busy which is good! so when I went to go pick up the new missionary he wasn't there, I guess while he was in the mtc he had to get his appendix out... sad guy ay? but I'm bummed. I was so excited to meet this new elder! So I have a temperary comp till the 11th of november. I miss pula for sure. but all goods its only two weeks and ill have my new comp:) im so excited to train.

Now that we baptized ***** our teaching pool isnt looking very promising.. so we're back to finding again which means more tracting.. which isn't that bad but when that's what you are doing all day, it gets old. And it is getting so hot here. Oh and the flies don't even get me stared. they are evil. normal flies you swat away and they go away but not in Australia. You swat it away and they come back even harder! hahaha and they are everywhere!

Okay so I'm sure you already have bought everything you are going to send me for my birthday but I could use more g's the mesh kind(dont judge me its hott) haha! and I got the newsletter! i love it, thank you!

Well yous look good! Every time I show people my photo album they are blown away how attractive my parents are, for real. I'm not just saying that cause I want more birthday presents  hahah. I love all of you and hope things are good! I love this gospel. There is so much to learn! NEVER STOP LEARNING. Feast upon the words of Christ and we will know what to do!

Hey everyone!!

Such an amazing week to be a missionary in Western Australia!

First off the baptism was amazing! I can't even describe the feeling but that was one of the most spiritual experiences of my life. It kind of reminded me of when I recieved my endowment and I walked into the celestial room and was just overwhelmed with the spirit, it felt like that. Right after the baptisms Elder Pula and I and the sisters sang To Bring the World His Truth, and everyone was bawling hahaha it was cool! President and Sister Lindsay were there too which made it even better.

So here is the big news, after the baptism I was getting changed and president came around and pulled me aside and told me that next transfer(this wednesday) I will be training a new missionary and I will be district leader!!!!! I was so shocked but I'm so excited! It's a big responsibility especially because I'm only just done being trained but I cant wait! I'm just stoked the president trusts me, he is a very intimidating man haha. Whenever he speaks his voice just DEMANDS your attention, he's THE man! I will pick the new missionary up on wednesday or thursday not sure yet! woooo!

And I've got some good pics of the baptism and when **** and her husband took us into the city for dinner last thursday! Well, I can't wait to tell you about my new companion and all that next week! I love you so so much! -elder guzzo

Conference Was Amazing!!!

hey momma!

so much to talk about. I'm glad gramps is good, I thought and prayed about him a lot and found peace in knowing that this is why we have the plan of salvation. even though he isn't going anywhere yet! I gained a stronger testimony about the plan of salvation.

 

but conference! oh my goodness! so good. I think that was the first time in my life I have sat and payed attention through all five sessions of conference but I learned so much. I really gained a new appreciation for the fact that we have a living breathing prophet on the earth! I mean how cool is that? I learned so much from this conference. I absolutely LOVED when I heard doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. yeah. So much power in that sentence. umm so the baptism is this week... L**** asked me if I would be the one to baptize her, so I'm soooooo excited! 

(I asked him what he wants for his birthday) I know 20 seems so old! I have been thinking about my birthday and really whatever you want to send me is great! I would like a black tie, and maybe a few other ties too hahah but for sure a black one. and then maybe another pair of those gap khakies? but in black if they have them. I just love the way they fit and they are so comfortable. but other than that send me whatever you want!!

 

It's been a good week here! our ward is so behind missionary work and we had the meanest fhe at one of our members houses last week. We had L**** and her husband there and a few more investigators! L**** and M**** and the best. they are taking elder pula and I into the city on thursday and taking us to a mexican resturant! I miss mexican food hahahah! 

hey so talk to me about what is going on with our government! I heard that it might be a problem with us getting mail? (He hasn't gotten any mail in a few weeks)

I'm so excited for christmas so I can see everyone! pray that I will be in a good area with members that will let me skype! haha

well I've only got a few minutes left but I love you! thanks for the support. I miss you and the family but I love what I'm doing! Things are great down here!! this work is amazing. talk to you next week!  love you all!

I missed being with all you guys for priesthood session. how about President Monsons talk in priesthood? you and I got rebuked for our home teaching efforts! haha

but good, I was just gonna follow up with that this week. sharing the gospel is hard sometimes but I promise that if you just go for it you will not regret it! cant wait to hear how it goes. I'll be praying for you.

Even when it's bad, he's good!

Our correspondence this week was full of short emails. Hearing about his grandpa's heart attack kind of threw him for a loop. I've pieced his emails together below:

mom online! whats up I loved your email until you told me about grandpa.. I'm freaking out. I cant even wrap my head around the fact he had a heart attack.

yeah I guess so.. ah.

well thanks for taking racheal the package I'm sure she will appreciate that. what else? ah I'm sorry I just can't think about anything else.. the weird thing is like this past week was good but it felt off. I couldnt figure out what my deal was but I just was more home sick than usual and the weirdest thing too is I sat and stared at the picture of me, drew and grandpa for like 20 minutes the other day and obviously I didnt know why then but I do now. me and drew write every week! its quick, I wish we could talk more but ya know it is what it is. I just ahh I'm scared to death right now. 

next time you see jan or carson try and get me his email! I wanna talk to him. Love that dude! but yeah what else? ah the temple. so amazing! (I don't think it's appropriate to post all he said about the temple, but he loved it. I was happy to see how much he's learning but I will leave it at this) It was just so emotional! The Perth temple is cool. Small but very nice! I loved all your doctrine insights but the whole grandpa thing threw me off. but thanks! imma send through some pictures! how is the fam?

so the baptism is the 19th and transfers are the 21st I think, so I could possibly leave right after. But most likey pula will go and I'll stay and take lead because I'm done being trained and I know the area ya know? anything can happen though. I'm good I promise. At least now i know why I had a weird week. I just dont know what I would do if we lost gramps. just typing that out makes me cry. I love him so much. but yeah I'm good and glad he is okay. tell Tracy and Jan I love them if you see them. The whole Rawle family! how are you? was conference good? I'm so excited. haha for the first time I'm really going to appreciate conference!! (They will be watching conference next weekend in Australia)

hahaha me and elder shin. FRESH out of Korea. He's a great missionary. he actually comes from an mma background so me and him were rolling around the other night and it was so much fun! I forget how much i love to compete and all that good stuff but yeah tell dad about that! he was so suprised when we starting going at it that I knew what i was doing haha thanks dad. but yeah he's the man.

I'm about to get kicked off the comp but i love you so much. I miss all of you dearly. but I love being a missionary, even when days suck the Lord blesses me with a good day and it all becomes worth it again. I'm so gald to be here! I love you so much momma!

I love to see the Temple!

So I hope you didnt call the mission or the police looking for your son because he didnt write home hahahah! our pday got changed to wednesday this week so that we can go to the temple! WOO!

SO much has happened this week. First thing, right after i wrote home last week we went had an appointment with the cutest lady ever named ***. this was our second lesson with her and at the end we commited her to be baptized October 19th and she said yes!!! AHHH! I am excited as. She was so prepared by the lord for us to find her and teach her, I knew she was gooing to be baptized the first time I met her!

umm next thing our zone broke the mission record for most investigators found in a month and because of that we get to go to the temple on wednesday!! I'm so freaking excited. I cant wait to see the new film! Okay next thing im getting fat. hahahah Trust the first time I can ever gain weight is on my mission. but yeah we just get fed so much! 

okay mom because we are going to the temple tomorrow and wont have the normal amount of time to email we got an hour today and an hour tomorrow. so expect to hear from me same time as usual, actually maybe a little bit earlier but same time as on sunday nights but on tuesday! I'm so excited for the temple, I have learned so much more doctrine behind adam and eve and everything so I cant wait to go back. I hope my temple pants fit though hahah. k gotta run I hope you all had a great week! love you!

nope right after we are done emailing. I loved your last email and am so excited for the temple ahh! brother ferris is the man with deep doctrine and we were having a study with him the other night and he let us in on some cool insights. another thing to think about is when Christ was baptized and the holy ghost fell upon him in the sign of a dove? whats the deal with doves? Do some study on doves in respect to the priesthood and and the holy ghost get back to me next week:) this gospel is amazing! I love you so so much!!

Yo dad- yeah man the work is good. I set my fisrt baptismal date last week man and I'm so excited about it. she is the sweetest lady from england and has just truly been prepared by the lord. last sunday the sister missionaries investigator came to church and she came up to me and she asked me to give her a priesthood blessing to help her with some things she was struggling with. uhhhhh I was freaking out.  but its so cool how once you declare that you are acting by the authority of the melchizedek priesthood, the spirit takes over. Being out here has really opened my eyes to how amazing the priesthood is and that it isnt our priesthood it's the Lords.but yeah man had a really good week and after I'm done emailing you guys I'm off the the city to go to the temple! I'm so excited. love you man.
